The grand finale will be mezzo Elizabeth Bishop and tenor Ta'u Pupu'a singing selections from Mahler's Das Lied von der Erde (Songs of the Earth). Mahler is known for his romantic music, heavy with emotion, but also filled with the wonder of nature and joy at light-hearted moments. Das Lied von der Erde is based on a book of Chinese poetry -- lamentations about loss and regret. Tickets are $20-$80. Youth tickets (ages 8-18) are only $5!
